Vancouver Island spans 460km long. roughly the same length as southern Manitoba from Ontario to Saskatchewan, and trust me there’s plenty to do here. From beautiful tidal views to breaktaking mountain ranges that even all of Western Canada seems to offer. For this page I’ll be introducing some nature topics only but in the Towns &Cities I’ll show some more food spots, cites and town as the title states, and outdoor activities everyone can induldge in.
Cowichan River Provincial Park
To some people, rivers just just another body of water to others it represents life and time, it can flow slowly or fast but nothing can stop it from flowing which is such a beautiful thing. I personally can just look at a river for hours and just explore and Cowichan River Provincial Park does the justice. Camping is available for those interested in staying over night (Click Here). There’s a wide range of things to do here as well to satisfy all who visit. Such as boating, hiking, kayaking/canoeing, amazing fishing, wildlife viewing, cycling, horseback riding and scuba diving. Truly a park for all. The best thing is, its only an hour away from Nanaimo and Victoria. But the main thing is the Cowichan River from fast flowing to calmer waters will bring joy to all who visit.
Strathcona Provincial Park
Strathcona Provincial Park is the largest provincial park on the island. While the drive from Victoria is around three hours long, it is worth it. With a wide range of activities, fun is not something you’ll lack on your visit. But it’s not just the activities available at this provincial park that make it such a compelling visit. It’s also the landscape and nature
