Manitoulin Island
A 6-hour drive from Toronto, Manitoulin Island is a great destination for those who don’t mind the drive. The entire island ranges from class 1-2 skies making it really convenient for finding locations, exploring around, and finding a great place to camp. Also, Manitoulin Island is one of Ontario’s Hottest spots for Northern Lights observation. The majority of the island is crown’s land so ensure to stay brushed up with the crown’s land rules for camping.
If you just want a sure place to go stargazing, we recommend checking out Manitoulin Eco Park, they have campgrounds for overnight stays which we highly recommend due to the distance of this area which can be found Here.
